Most sensor rely on transducer to convert measured signal into another form of signal. In simple both have property of convert one energy to other form of energy but sensor always convert physical property into electrical signal.
In transducer, I wrote with an example that i to p converter or p to i converter can you tell me what I current represent? Sensor is a device that when exposed to a physical phenomenon temperature, displacement, force, etc produces a proportional output signal electrical, resistance, voltage, capacitance, inductance, mechanical, magnetic etc. Sensors are transducers when they sense one form of energy input and output in a different form of energy.
Pressure transducers and pressure transmitters are very similar. A pressure transducer is an electromechanical device for translating pressure values into voltages across a high-impedance load 5, ohms or greater.
A transmitter on the other hand translates pressure values into currents generally mA across a low-impedance load. In general, transmitters are preferred when sending a signal over relatively long distances i. Neither of which, however, can change or control pressure.
These devices are solely for measuring pressure and communicating the output electronically or visually. Unlike a transducer or transmitter that can translate all of the pressures in its range, a pressure switch will trigger at a specific set pressure. That set pressure can either be high or low and can either engage or disengage a circuit. In the past, physical signals were often talked about. Now other signals are available. There are many more types of sensors used in electronic world.
